IP Banned on Forum! How to Hide IP?

If you have had your IP banned from a forum then you know what a pain in the neck it can be. There are some methods out there that allow you to register a new account with the forum under a different IP. If you want to register for the forum again you will need to have a different IP, here are a couple ways you can do this.

Proxy Servers

Proxy servers come in handy for a number of things. One of these things is that they can hide your IP address when accessing websites. If you have been banned from a forum you can go to one of thousands of different proxy servers and surf the site through the proxy. You will be able to register again but you will need to be using a high anonymous proxy or else you will be detected for hiding your IP. Which in all likelihood will result in you getting banned again. If you want to just access the site to view the forums, you can use any proxy that hides your IP.

Software Programs

This next method is to go out and buy a software program that you can use to set an anonymous IP address for a number of things. You can use these programs to hide your IP address in web browsers, instant messaging programs, and IRC chat. Programs roughly cost $30-50.00, and can be purchased online or in stores that have software. You will be able to automatically change the proxies you’re using to view sites whenever you choose to. If you’re getting slow connection you can switch it again. With these software programs you will never have to worry about having your IP banned from any site. It’s also the best way for ensuring your privacy and security on the internet.

Check our list of Hide IP Tools! Also, before trying to register for a new account don’t forget to check if your IP is hidden. You can use IPLocate.info.

Proxy servers do no good if the site requires you to type in a captcha from a “verification” box when signing up to a forum. Makes it impossible to sign up with a rotating or hidden IP. I’ve been locked out of Gather and it’s very frustrating.

Can you let me know what are the reasons that forums banned any id or ip address. One of my friend in one of google groups have faced this problem. He has register in the forum, posted just an introduction thread and also some other threads without spam, without including any link, but when he logged in next day he has got the message he get banned forever. When he asked this question with group members, we also haven’t figure out what the problem is.

Lets make sure all the spammers know this information because lord knows people who actually run forums need more spammers trying to get around blocks so they can spread viagra and nudecelebrity links to the world.

I was threatened with being banned from Linux Mint forums because they did not like my ideas about computing. As well as the fact that I openly stated that Windows is better than Linux. Which it is. But I was also called a troll and a hijacker on that form, because I did not stick to the sole topic. Which is impossible to do on a computer software forum, such as a Windows or Linux forum.

And they locked one of my threads after only 3 pages and they did not lock anybody else, s thread, only mine. So you have no rights on a forum, they can delete your posts, lock your threads or delete your account. And they can even block you IP address so you cannot even browse the site.

And I think that blocking someones IP address should be made a criminal offense and punishable by a prison sentence. That would take the forum bosses down a peg or two. Andrea Borman.

    @Miss.Andrea Borman.

I’ve faced the same problem myself, though differently of course, but some people just love feeling that they have power over the internet and they’ll respond with immature remarks and do as they please.

I find it more difficult is when there’s only one forum suited for your needs and it’s filled with those who have nothing better to do then to randomly attack with words and be let go, because they know a moderator or two.

Powergreedy forum admins are a threath to the worlds freedom, and a direct opposite to the intent of the internet.

All ip blocking, csensuring admins on forums are in league with the devil, and yes, make ip ban criminal!

I have been banned from Seven Forums two days ago,Friday. The offence-a forum member commented on a thread that was about installing Windows Movie Maker on Windows 7 that he liked one of my videos he had seen. And so to be polite I thanked him on the same thread. But 20 minutes later when I tried to log into my account again I got this message-

“You have been banned for the following reason: Personal non grata (it means person not welcome it says on Wikipedia) date the ban will be lifted: NEVER.”

So Seven forums have banned me for life from their forum just because I posted a reply on the thread thanking him for liking my video. And because the thread was not about that,I was off topic and they have just banned me without even a warning.

And when I posted yesterday on another forum-Expert Law forum in which I started a thread about my being wrongly banned from Seven Forums. And I told them I was banned from Seven Forums in the thread. I was banned from that forum as well. And I was told the ban would never be lifted.
So I have been banned from 2 forums in 24 hours for doing nothing wrong. First, Seven Forums for thanking a member about liking my video. And now Expert Law forum for posting about my unjust ban from Seven Forums.

I cannot believe any forum could do that to me. And to ban me for life? I did not do anything to deserve that. Maybe we should give up going to forums altogether. Andrea Borman.
