After reading my post on Anonymizer, a guy from Romania tried to purchase the 1 year subscription. The message was clear: “Unfortunately we cannot accept orders from Romania for Anonymizer Anonymous Surfing 1 Year Subscription at this time.” (?!)
Nice… Probably they have a large black list with countries like Mexic, Brasil, Argentina, China, Iran, etc.
My question is: only US and Canadian people need online privacy?

The explanation is very simple. The rate of credit card fraud from many countries, including Romania, exceeds the number of legitimate transactions by many to one.
In order to prevent our credit card processor shutting us down, we have had to deny all transactions from many countries. This is certainly unfortunate, but it is a business necessity.

@Lance: Thank you for your explanation. As you provide a nice service, maybe you should consider offering an alternative payment processor. I think PayPal is a must. Also Avangate is a nice and reliable solution that accepts payments from all over the world (including Romania
).
