Q&A: HotSpot Shield does not connect. I get the Daemon Error. What can I do?

As comment on Free security and privacy using Hotspot Shield, I have received the following message:

HotSpot Shield do not connect on my PC. What Can i do?
It shows Deamon Error

As far as I know, the Daemon Start Error is thrown if:

  1. You have exceeded the 3GB / month bandwidth limit. Here is an article that might help you: Fix Hotspot Shield Pulling Options Looping and Daemon Start Error Problem
  2. Your IP is banned by the server. It is possible that the entire class of IPs (192.xxx.xxx.xxx) is blocked because of (stupid) spammers. If this is you case, write an email to the AnchorFree support.

    it just stopped working no warning nothing; true IP starts showing without warning. that makes it useless and undependable.

    what vpn services do you recommend for mac os x ppc?

    @nope to hotspot for mac – You could try AlwaysVPN. Unfortunately this is not free anymore.
