Internet users from China have not been able to access YouTube since Monday. The reason is a video that the Chinese government claims to be fake. The video apparently shows Tibetan protesters being beaten with sticks, and kicked and choked by China’s security forces.
This is not the first time that China has blocked YouTube and it’s probably not the last. The ban usually gets lifted within a couple of days.
How to bypass government filters?
There are several tools that Chinese users can bybass government filters, including web proxies and hide IP tools, I think the most suitable tools are Freegate and Hotspot Shield.
What do you think?
What do you think about Chinese government blocking YouTube? Do you think it is the best way to deal such problems? Are these bans effective?
