Hotspot Shield unblocks Flickr in China

The last few days were quite difficult for Internet users in China. The Chinese government has blocked internet access to Twitter, Flickr, Blogger, Wordpress, Bing, Live.com, Hotmail.com and several other sites. This is most probably related to the 20th anniversary of Tiananmen massacre on June 4th.

There are several methods to overcome this censorship, the most effective being Hotspot Shield, Ultrasurf, NotMyIP, IP Hider, etc. A proof that this can be done I have found on Flickr. RoomWithAView has was posted a nice picture, suggestively named “This Bird Can Fly“, on Flickr from China using Hotspot Shield. You can take a look to the photo here.
