Proxy servers are hot news these days due to the election process in Iran and also due to the legal case where Microsoft is suing against three people that were defrauding Internet advertisers by using automated programs mimic users clickstreams.
David Storn, an expert on Internet and networking technologies who was the former editor-in-chief at Network Computing, Tom’s Hardware.com, and DigitalLanding.com, wrote a great article explaining what proxy servers are and how can they be used both for good and bad.
