Ace VPN is a free VPN service that allows you to browse securely and anonymously via fast encrypted SSL VPN tunnels.  The access to the service is by invitation only.

Ace VPN features

  • Provides high security – Encrypts and compresses all traffic including DNS, VOIP, FTP, instant messengers, P2P, torrents, IRC
  • Hides your IP address such that you are able to access Hulu, Pandora, NBC.com, etc
  • Hide your tracks from internet monitoring or web filtering
  • Works on Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac, Linux, etc.

How to install Ace VPN and get started

Ace VPN makes use of OpenVPN, the well known open-source VPN client.  Firstly you need to install the client and use pre-configured config files to connect using your username and password (received by email).

Step-by-step information on how to install Ace VPN you can find here for Windows and here for Mac OS X. After you install OpenVPN you will need to download the config file and place it in C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\config\ folder. The next step is to start OpenVPN and enter your username and password. If everything is all right, Ace VPN will connect and you see something similar to the right-bottom of your screen:

Important! If you are running on Vista make sure you read Further Notes for Windows Vista.

Free service limitations

While using the free version you are not allowed to use torrents, p2p and other file sharing.  If you are interested in such activities a Premium VPN service is available. Violation of these terms result in termination of the account. Please read the Terms of service in order to make sure your account will not be terminated.

Hi, I just subscribed this site. Could I get invite for Ace VPN?

BTW, what do you think of this?(h**p://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=237184).

Do you trust this Xerobank guy?

I’ve been searching for paid VPN service for 5 years now, since I found my User Agent info contained my dorm nameyears ago!). But, I’ve never got one, because I don’t know which one I can trust.

I know many of them in the business are amateurs (Look at VPN threads at digitalpoints.com). Also, many well known VPN guys seem to have a character (I got such an impression when I talked to the Witopia guy and I read discussion like the above).

I used to trust bluethought from Http-Tunnel. But, he suddenly quited the company and started another VPN company, and then, recently, he seemed to ditched the company, again.

Also, I just found FindNot, which had been in a VPN business for 5 years, recently disappeared.

That leaves STrong VPN as the only company I can trust, but it’s a kinda expensive to me…

@Lisa – Yes, Lisa. You will get the invite.

Xerobank is a very serios company but I don’t fully agree with that guy that Ultrasurf is malware. Ultrasurf is seen as malware by many security tools due to the fact it performs operations like browser config, delete browser cookies and remove history.

Indeed, several companies have disappeared but some others were born. Take this Ace VPN for instance.

After you receive the invite please let me know what you think about it.

Thank you, Lisa, for your interesting comment!

Being America Jr. (Canadian) you would have thought we would be able to watch Hulu/NBC feeds. But no. Alas I must result to using Proxies and whatnot. Granted Hotspot is good… to a point, but I would love to get on with AceVPN. If no other invites are available, no worries. At least I found this article. :)

BTW, Steve Topletz finally revealed the truth about UltraSurf.
If you are still using it, You’d better read this. If this is true, it’s very scary!
