It seems that the happy days when Hulu could be accessed by users from outside US using Hotspot Shield are gone. Today, Patrick Soon sent me a message to let me know that Hulu has blocked Hotspot Shield again. A similar problem was reported a few weeks ago but it was solved after a few days.
For several hours we have tried to find a solution (deleting cookies, connect/disconnect, etc.) with no success. The conclusion was that Hulu has blocked (again) the IPs or the range of IPs used by Hotspot Shield. If this is true, Hotspot Shield will not be able to unblock Hulu until it will change the IPs. Unfortunately, this will no represent a permanent solution: Hulu will soon block the new IPs, Hotspot Shield will change them again, Hulu … and so on …
Until the team at Anchorfree (the creators of Hotspot Shield) find a solution for this problem (maybe rotating IPs), you can unblock Hulu using IP Hider. I have just tested it in order to make sure Hulu does not use cookies to block the access and it worked without problems.
