Ixquick has announced that they are working on a free proxy service that will completely mask a user’s IP address from detection by clicked sites. This way, the search engine, will mask searchers’ details once they click searched sites. The new feature is expected to be ready by Fall, as Dr. Katherine Albrecht, Ixquick marketing and media relations officer said.

Ixquick is the only major search engine that does not record IP addresses of the users or make a record of their searches. Also the HTTPS protocol is used to encrypt users’ search queries to prevent these from being seen by the ISP or any third parties.
