Ipredator.se Finally Released For Everyone

Ipredator, that was in a beta phase for about 6 month and available to selected testers, is now open for everyone.

The VPN service was launched last summer by The Pirate Bay’s team in response to the introduction of Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement Directive (IPRED) legislation which empowers copyright holders get personal details of file-sharing users from ISP’s.

The service is available for 149 SEK (that’s about 15 EUR / 21 USD) per 3 months and you will get safe, encrypted communication between you and the internet, with no logging of the data transferred.

The team behind Ipredator also announced that they are developing a new tool to make it harder (or impossible) for the government of Sweden to tap into their citizens traffic. No details about what this tool may be.

Ipredator – Good or Bad?

Here, at How-to-hide-ip.info, there were some interesting, not favorable, comments regarding Ipredator. I’ll just cite Fausty from a comment on 7 VPN Services Launched in 2009:

Just to clarify, ipredator is NOT a new service. It’s just Relakks, with a new name stuck on top of it – as confirmed by Sunde after we caught them trying to pass it off as “new.” [..]

Additionally, Sunde has admitted that because the old Relakks network (which was abandoned, with customer funds disappearing, in 2008 by whomever owns it – they’ve never explained any of that) is built on pptp proprietary VPN tools, that “IPREDator is very much a political statement more than anything else.” That’s right, this “privacy service” uses technology that’s so badly broken it can’t even promise to protect privacy! Sunde only made this admission after I demanded he justify how they could put forth the re-animated Relakks stuff as a viable “privacy service” despite the many flaws exposed in it.

What do you think of Ipredator? Have you tried it? Is it a good service? Would you recommended to others?

After what Fausty of Cryptocloud commented on IPredator abvove,
I am going to totally forget that a vpn service named IPredator even exists in the first palce!

If possible,HideIp admin please send my regards to Fausty also tell him it’s time Cryptocloud is available in portable version.I always wanted ask you is there any or if really a vpn service that comprehensively protects our system’s from malwares and others related, because Xerobank sure claim so about their xB Browser.

About the poll, what do you think JanusVM?

    Awaiting your reply soon.

@Rex – Fausty will probably read your comments and get your regards directly.

Regarding your question, I think there no such thing as 100% protective solution. xbBrowser is a good solution is a great tool but it’s not 100% safe. Unfortunately, hackers continuatly find new ways to get into our computers.

I have considered JanusVM, but as it is written in the poll post the products listed are the most popular on Hide-Ip-Tools.com.

    Thank you for you comment.

    Hi,

Not tried it, though I got an invitation to take part in the beta testing paying 5€/ month – which sounded too weird altogether; never heard before to have to pay for testing beta versions of anything.
Have read Fausty’s comments here and I visit cultureGhost from time to time. The things I read there make me wonder, considering the route everything has taken, why anyone would still trust Ipredator, even for free – that’s just my personal stand.

    Let’s move on,

@ad_infinitum – The trust issue is simple: people trust Ipredator because they have trusted the team behind The Pirate Bay. If indeed IPredator is run by the same people that run The Pirate Bay site, this is another story.
