Video: Unblocking Restricted Websites Explained

Are you interested in watching Hulu outside the US? Or maybe BBC in the US? Here is a video from Tekzilla that nicely explains how you can achieve this by using proxy server.

As Roger Chang emphasizes in the video, VPN services are another good solution to unblock restricted websites. Take Hotspot Shield for example. It provides US IP address, it can be used to unblock Hulu, it is free and it much safer that a proxy.

Another free VPN solution that it is worth mentioning is TheFreeVPN [No longer available]. It can be used to unblock BBC iPlayer and other European restricted websites.

Also there are a lot of commercial services that offer higher speed the free alternatives. Some of the most popular are StrongVPN, HideIpVPN and HideMyAss.
