Amazon has just launched its Prime Instant Video service. You can now enjoy streaming of 5,000+ pieces of quality content, including some recent movies and a lot of TV shows, much of which will look very familiar if you’re also a Netflix subscriber.
Much of this content is available to “rent” or “buy” if you want to be able to download it to a mobile device. Unlike Netflix, the new Amazon service plays nicely on Android devices.
Clicker.com published a handy chart that compares all the online video sites and shows how the Amazon service is doing. It looks like an excellent start for Prime Instant Video:
How to unblock Amazon’s Prime Instant Video from outside US
The same as for Hulu and Netflix, Prime Instant Video is not available for users outside US. You can create an account, but when you try to play a video you get the following message:
Amazon’s Prime Instant Video can be easily unlocked with the use of a VPN service that provides USA IP addresses. Here is a list of such services: List of VPN Services that Provide USA IP Addresses. I have successfully watched the Prime videos with HideIpVPN, HideMyAss and StrongVPN.
After you setup the VPN connection, just press the Retry button and you are good to go. No need to delete the cookies or to perform other fancy operations.

P.S. I have not tested it yet with Hotspot Shield, but I’m almost sure it works.

Can I do it from my kindle fire?
Tried Hide My Ass – it says “your cookies are not enabled,” but they are. Never got it to work. The other two require subscription fees per month. You don’t really mention that in your article. I paid for amazon videos in the US but can’t watch them in the UK without paying even more.
I tried a lot to do this, also have the Hide my ass month suscription, but I still cannot acces the amazon instant video :-S
Doesn’t work with amazon instant BECAUSE it says quite clearly on Amazon instant website that you need BOTH a USA address and a USA credit card. So VPN is pointless

on youre kindle fire you can use the application called World Wide KindleFire.
i am using it and just cant get my hands of the kindle!
you can allso do the same for Netflix content by using World Flix.
both are available at the market
