In a previous post, I have written about a good product that I use from time to time: IP Privacy. I use it mainly to change my IP to an United States address. The product lists some very fast US proxies.
Today, I saw that the proxy list also contains some servers/proxies from Germany, so you can use IP Privacy also if you need to change your IP to german one.
Here is what you have to do:
1. Download IP Privacy from Privacy-Pro.com site or directly from here and install it (Install…Next…Next…Finish)
2. Select a server from Germany (Germany Premium) in the same way you would select a US Proxy

3. Then press Enable Online Anonymity button. That will change your IP to an IP from Germany. Simply, isn’t it? To be sure, check our What Is My IP Address page.
Important! If you are using Firefox you need to go first to Settings, press Browser Configuration, check Firefox and press Apply. Then go back to the main window (Status) and press Enable Online Anonymity button.
When you don’t longer need a german IP, just press Disable Online Anonymity button.
Happy Surfing!

If you got banned on a forum or you just need to change your IP address, here are some options available (depending on your configuration).
Important! If you have a static IP address these options do not apply. You should call your ISP and ask them to change your IP address.
Important! Before trying to change your IP, always delete your browser cookies. Here is how you can do this.
1) If have dialup connection, try using a different access number. That will most probably change your IP address.
2) For Cable/DSL (no router) internet connections, go to Start menu, type in cmd and hit Enter. Then type ipconfig /release and hit Enter. Further type ipconfig /renew and hit Enter.
3) If #3 did not work and you are using Cable/DSL (no router), then you should try this: go to Start menu, type in cmd and hit Enter. Then type ipconfig /release and hit Enter.
Then right-click on your Local Area Connection and choose Properties. Double click on Internet Protocol TCP/IP. Click Use the following ip address and enter 123.123.123.123 for the ip and 255.0.0.0 for the subnet mask. Click OK, and then again OK. Go back to the previous dialog box and instead of Use the following ip address choose Obtain an ip address automatically.

Firexfox 3.0 is no longer in beta release! On 17 of June, a.k.a Download Day, more than 8 milion users have downloaded the new version of Firefox. It is a World Record hard to beat in the near future. Well done, guys!
Now, let’s see how to configure Firefox 3.0 to hide your IP address. The good news is that the configuration is similar to the one of Firefox 2.x. So, if you have read one of my previous posts, How To Hide Your IP While Browsing Using Firefox 2.x, you already know how to do it. For those who don’t, here are the steps…
First, go to WhatIsMyIPAddress.com and check your real IP address and location.
Then, you have to find a proxy server (IP:port). For example, you can choose one from SamAir.ru or Proxy4Free.com. You are probably interested in changing your country, but you also must ne careful to choose a high anonymous proxy.
After you have chosen the proxy you can start configuring your Firefox 3.0 browser.

IPSpotting.com shows a lot of funny “information” about your IP address. You can see if your IP contains prime or odd numbers, how your IP looks as a bitmap (see below) and if it resemble with anything, it shows your IP as poker hand, as a color, as a UNIX date, a point on a map, etc. Finally, you get a score.

The most interesting IP checked there is 151.199.53.145. It contains 3 prime numbers, it looks like a man skiing, all numbers are odd, it is a good poker hand :), produces a valid barcode, etc. Nice…
I got only 19, so my IP is not very interesting. How much did you get? Is your IP interesting?

Here is a question I have received today:
Q: BBC Radio usually switches their Liveatreams off during live coverage of sports events: “UK only”… (I’m from germany). I have been looking in several forums and on several websites how to get an IP address from the UK, but I didn’t find an answer
Now I downloaded I program called “Ninja Surfing”, but it doesn’t work as it does not find an IP address when I select UK. Can you help? Would be great!
A: As you know already, you need a UK IP address. To be more specific you need a proxy/server located in the UK. You can find such proxies on sites like Proxy4Free, SamAir.ru or Xroxy. These are open proxies that you can you free of charge. If you don’t know how to set up your browser how to use such proxy make sure you read: How To Hide Your IP While Browsing Using Firefox 2.x or How To Manually Change Your IP Using Internet Explorer 7.x.
The bad news is that most of these proxies won’t help because they are used by a lot of people and they are quite slow.

If you are using Opera you should know there are several ways to hide your IP address:
1. Web proxies
This is the simplest way to hide your IP for any browser you use (including Opera). A web proxy is basically a site that works as an intermediate between you and the site you want to see/access. The key point is that the site you access does not see your IP as the calling source, but the web proxy.

You can find a lot of web proxies on sites like proxy.org. What you have to do is to access such a proxy, type in your desired URL and press Go/Submit. To be sure that it does change your IP, you can first type www.whatismyipaddress.com and see the IP and location of the proxy.
Usually, web proxies are used to unblock sites like YouTube, Facebook, MySpace, but they are also useful for posting on forums or other such activities.
The main disadvantage of web proxies is that they have a short life and get banned, so you have to permanently look for fresh proxies.

This is a common question. If you are using a DSL service, every time you turn on your computer youy IP address is changed. But this does not mean that you are not still banned on eBay, on a forum or on site you got banned before.
Why is that? The answer is very simple: you are still in the same subnet. Meaning that your new IP address is not very different from the one that you got banned with. For example, you got banned with 123.123.123.1 and your new IP address is 123.123.123.2. Forums or sites like eBay don’t ban only the exact IP, but the entire subnet.
What should you do?
Firstly, you could change your ISP (Internet Service Provider), create a new account and make sure you set up all new account information and do not link any old account information.

Proxy Shell Hide IP will let you surf faster and more reliable by using multiple proxies to hide your IP address during surfing. No one will ever know where you are while using this software. Your IP address is a tracker to you, what you look at, what you listen to. Everything you do online can be traced back to you through your IP address. Therefore, you can even send emails and post to forums anonymously.
Many different sites collect cookies and they store them so they can gather information on you. Some sites won’t let you in at all if you do not allow them to store their cookie on your computer. Some sites know where you’re located at and even what kind of computer you are using just by having your IP address. Spammers get a hold of it and you have an inbox filled with junk mail!
Your IP address will never be seen by anyone. It will work on Vista, XP, and the following browsers:
• IE 6
• IE7
• Firefox
• Opera
